What happened to Jared Leto?

Like many other young teensters back in the '90's
I had formulated a little crush on the well-known
grunge rebel, Jordan Catalano aka Jared Leto.
(What names!!)

Only recently, and I mean recently, did it come to my attention how Mr. Leto has made a reappearance among the
infamous celebrity scene again, this time with his band,
30 Seconds to Mars.

Thus, Jared Leto has officially retired from his demure sexy grunge image as Jordan
and descended into the world of MTV rock/pop star. Signs of this include:
-wearing smudged black eyeliner
-either two or more bandmates having the same hairstyle
-sleeping with underage starlets (Oh, Lindsay how could you?!)
-and finally, alluding to a rock star atmosphere through corresponding
black/leather clothing- when in actuality band vocals and sound are a combination
of So-Cal punk and the ever so weary Scream-O.

And may I also remind you that Jared is not so young at heart anymore.
We are talking 35 years but somehow he manages to still look 25, if not younger.
(Can we say Botox folks?)

I can only come to the conclusion that Jared couldn't let go of his younger
star days as Jordan Catalano. Too long has he been out of the spotlight, thus
losing his once teen girl admirers, who suddenly are no longer teens but instead
an undeniable fact of just how old Mr. Leto is now.

So what does he do instead of actually growing up.
Mr. Leto reinvents himself so he become a teen/rock star
among a new generation of youngsters. Can we say early mid-life crisis?

Sigh . . . . . so yet again us '90's teenster, now ever so older(and hipper), girls have
had our hearts broken by Jared Leto again. This time through his sell-out move to a new
over conscious celebrity teen nation. We can say good bye to our late night fantasies
of making out with Jordan Catalano in the back of a somewhat classy looking El Camino
and retire ourselves to thinking, how much things have changed over these past years.
Yet, during our late night contemplation over a glass of merlot, we are still mystified
by how our once teen romance heroes, Angela & Jordan, can still look younger and emulate
that oh so sincere, "you can touch me, I'm young forever" Teen attitude after all these
years.



Yes, Jared Leto you have broken my little teen heart again.
But don't worry though, while you are busy reassuring yourself that you are still twenty and
not the audacious age of 30 by clubbin' with Lindsay Lohan and her mom, I'll be at home
sipping my glass of merlot, listening to Black Sabbath and a touch of Nirvana as a tribute
to good times of Your So-Called Life, while I pray for your little soiled teen rockstar soul.
